Lenovo Unveils a Blazing 1,100-Nit OLED 2-in-1 Powered by Intel’s Panther Lake

Lenovo has introduced the IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1 (15IPH11), a 15.3-inch convertible laptop that closely mirrors the company’s recently launched 15AGP11. While the two models share much of the same overall hardware approach, a few key differences could matter a lot depending on how you plan to use a 2-in-1 for work, entertainment, or both.

One of the biggest distinctions comes down to the HDMI port. The Intel Panther Lake-based IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1 (15IPH11) uses an HDMI 1.4b connection rather than the newer HDMI 2.1 found in the 15AGP11. In real-world terms, that means the 15IPH11 tops out at 4K resolution at 30 Hz when connected to an external monitor through HDMI. If you’re hoping to run a 4K display at smoother refresh rates for productivity or media, that limitation is something to keep in mind.

Battery life also differs depending on which display configuration you choose. Lenovo says the 15IPH11 can last up to 25% longer when streaming local video if you opt for its higher-end screen: a 2.5K OLED panel with a fast 165 Hz refresh rate and brightness that can reach 1,100 nits. That combination is notable for a convertible, especially for people who value a vivid OLED look, smoother motion, and strong brightness for brighter rooms.

However, the story changes if you stick with Lenovo’s default 1200p IPS display. With that base screen, the 15IPH11 is reportedly about 10% behind the 15AGP11 in the same video playback scenario. In other words, your screen choice could be the deciding factor if battery endurance is a top priority.

Pricing for the Lenovo IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1 (15IPH11) starts at $849 in the United States, $1,149 in Canada, and AUD 2,099 in Australia.
