Lenovo has launched its latest addition to the Legion gaming laptop series with the new 2024 Legion Y9000X, now available in China. This powerhouse gaming laptop brings together high-performance components, starting with the Intel Core i9-14900HX CPU, and offers gamers two distinct Nvidia GeForce RTX GPU options.
Starting with pre-sales tomorrow, the Legion Y9000X is pegged at an entry price of CNY13,999 (approximately $1,947) for the base variant. The more powerful configuration comes with a price tag of CNY14,999 (around $2,086).
The Legion Y9000X configurations both feature the 14th gen Intel Core i9-14900HX processor, which has demonstrated impressive performance upgrades over the previous generation, particularly surpassing the Core i9-13980HX in some testing scenarios.
In terms of graphics, Lenovo provides the choice between the Nvidia RTX 4060 and the more high-end RTX 4070, ensuring gamers can select the level of graphical power that suits their needs and budget.
Both Legion Y9000X models include 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and offer a substantial 1 TB of storage space for games and other content. Additionally, the gaming laptop maintains several aspects from its predecessor, such as the sleek PureSight Pro screen with its resolution of 3200 x 2000 pixels, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, brightness typically rated at 430 nits, and a smooth 165 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the laptop retains the same slender and lightweight chassis, reaffirming the brand’s commitment to portable yet powerful gaming rigs.
As for global availability, Lenovo has not made any announcements; however, it’s worth noting that the previous model was rebranded for international markets. Potential buyers outside of China may want to look for a similar rebranding of the Legion Y9000X in the future.
With robust specifications and advanced gaming features, the 2024 Lenovo Legion Y9000X is poised to be a formidable player in the gaming industry, catering to those seeking the immersive experience afforded by cutting-edge hardware.
