Fresh leaks are offering the clearest look yet at Samsung’s next top-tier flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and the biggest talking point is its redesigned camera layout. After the first wave of supposedly official renders for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra appeared last Friday, new visuals attributed to well-known leaker Evan Blass now showcase the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s “new” rear camera in much sharper detail.
At a glance, it’s still unmistakably Samsung, but the design has been cleaned up significantly. The previous approach—three separate lenses sticking out individually, surrounded by thick rings that many fans criticized for their bulky look—is gone. In its place, Samsung appears to be bringing back a unified camera module, giving the rear panel a more cohesive and premium appearance. Look closer, and the module seems to use a three-tiered structure, adding depth and visual separation without relying on oversized lens rings.
Samsung also appears to be sticking with its familiar sensor arrangement beyond the main cluster. The 3x telephoto lens and additional sensors sit to the right of the main camera module again, alongside the LED flash. This layout should be instantly recognizable to longtime Galaxy Ultra users, even as the primary camera housing shifts to a more modern style.
Another noticeable change is the phone’s overall silhouette. The Galaxy S26 Ultra looks more rounded at the corners, pushing it further away from the sharp-edged Galaxy Note-inspired identity seen in recent Ultra models. That said, Samsung isn’t abandoning the Note legacy completely—the S Pen is still here for another year. Even the end of the S Pen appears to have been adjusted to better match the newly rounded frame, suggesting Samsung is refining the design for consistency and comfort.
Size and weight changes are also part of the story. Compared directly to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feel slightly slimmer in the hand and easier to carry. The leaked dimensions point to a thickness of 7.9mm, which is 0.3mm thinner than its predecessor. It’s also reportedly lighter at 214 grams, shaving off about 4 grams. Those may sound like minor numbers on paper, but Ultra phones are large devices, and even small reductions can make day-to-day handling more comfortable—especially when it comes to pocketability.
Interestingly, the phone is also said to be slightly larger in height and width, meaning Samsung may be balancing a slimmer profile with a bigger overall footprint. Another notable detail in the leak: the Galaxy S26 Ultra is unlikely to use titanium as a material additive, which could signal a change in build strategy for Samsung’s premium lineup in 2026.
If you’re wondering when you’ll see it officially, the latest leaked teaser poster suggests the Galaxy S26 family will be unveiled on February 25, 2026, during a Galaxy Unpacked event. If the leaks are accurate, Samsung is positioning the Galaxy S26 Ultra as a familiar powerhouse with smarter refinements—especially in camera design, ergonomics, and overall polish.
