Xiaomi looks set to expand its Bose-tuned audio beyond the Redmi K90 Pro Max, with a new leak tipping two upcoming products: the Redmi K90 Ultra smartphone and a compact tablet believed to be the Redmi K Pad 2. If the information holds, Xiaomi’s next wave of Redmi devices could lean heavily into richer, louder sound as a key selling point—something buyers increasingly care about for gaming, streaming, and everyday media.
The Redmi K90 lineup originally arrived in October 2025 with the standard Redmi K90 and the Redmi K90 Pro Max. One of the biggest talking points at the time was audio. The K90 Pro Max, in particular, stood out thanks to its Bose-powered 2.1-channel speaker system that even included a subwoofer—an uncommon feature in phones and one that helped the series carve out a clear identity.
Now, tipster Smart Pikachu claims the Bose partnership isn’t stopping there. According to the leak, both the Redmi K90 Ultra and the Redmi K Pad 2 will feature Bose-tuned speakers. The Redmi K90 Ultra may go even further with a three-speaker setup, which could translate to stronger stereo separation, clearer vocals, and more immersive sound when watching videos or playing games without headphones.
Beyond audio, the leaked Redmi K90 Ultra specs suggest Xiaomi is building it as a performance-first “sub-flagship.” It’s said to use an overclocked MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and could include a built-in cooling fan—an eye-catching detail that points directly at sustained gaming performance. Power may be another highlight, with rumors of an enormous battery around 8,500mAh paired with 100W fast charging, a combination aimed at reducing charging anxiety while still keeping downtime low.
The Redmi K Pad 2 is also shaping up to be a serious compact tablet rather than a basic media slate. Leaks describe an 8.8-inch LCD display with a sharp 3K resolution and a super-smooth 165Hz refresh rate—specs that would appeal to users who want a portable gaming and entertainment tablet with fast scrolling and responsive visuals. It’s also rumored to carry a battery close to 9,000mAh, which could make it a strong option for long travel days or extended reading and streaming sessions.
As for availability, the tablet is expected to launch in the first half of 2026 in China. There’s also a good chance it won’t stay China-exclusive. The previous Redmi K Pad was released internationally under different branding as the Xiaomi Pad Mini, so the K Pad 2 could follow the same path and show up in global markets with a new name.
For now, these details remain unofficial, but the overall direction is clear: Xiaomi appears to be doubling down on two areas that matter to mainstream buyers—big batteries and standout audio—while also targeting gamers and power users with high refresh rate screens and aggressive cooling. If Xiaomi prices these devices competitively, the Redmi K90 Ultra and the compact K Pad 2 could become two of the more attention-grabbing launches of 2026.
