JMGO Iris Ultra and Iris Ultra Max bring 4K 120Hz laser projection to gamers and home theaters
JMGO is expanding its Iris projector lineup worldwide with two new models designed for big-screen gaming, premium movie nights, and high-brightness home entertainment. The new JMGO Iris Ultra and Iris Ultra Max both deliver 4K projection at up to 120Hz, giving users a smoother experience than traditional 60Hz projectors, especially when playing fast-paced console games or watching action-heavy content.
Both projectors use an RGB triple-laser light source and a 0.47-inch DMD chip. JMGO has also equipped the two models with a dual-DLPC8545 processing setup and its HyperPulse Actuator system. According to the company, this actuator shifts 480 times per second to help maintain sharp 4K detail even at high refresh rates.
For gamers, the Iris series includes several important features such as HDMI 2.1, variable refresh rate support, auto low-latency mode, and dedicated gaming modes. These features are aimed at reducing input lag and improving motion clarity, making the projectors more appealing to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC players who want a massive display without giving up smooth performance.
The Iris Ultra Max sits at the top of the lineup. It is rated at 6,500 ISO lumens, making it significantly brighter than the standard Iris Ultra, which is rated at 4,500 ISO lumens. The Ultra Max also offers a higher native contrast ratio of 10,000:1, while the Iris Ultra is rated at 7,000:1. These differences should make the Ultra Max better suited for larger rooms, bigger screen sizes, or spaces where total light control is more difficult.
Color performance is another major selling point. JMGO claims both projectors cover 110% of the BT.2020 color gamut and achieve Delta E color accuracy of 0.7 or lower. Both models also support HDR, Dolby Vision, MEMC motion smoothing, VRR, and Dolby Vision playback at 4K 120Hz. Real-world testing will ultimately show how closely the projectors match these claims, but the specifications are clearly aimed at buyers looking for a premium visual experience.
The Iris Ultra and Iris Ultra Max also include a six-level dual-iris system, automatic keystone correction, and autofocus. JMGO has added hardware-level Anti-RBE technology as well, which is designed to reduce the rainbow effect that can sometimes appear with laser projection systems.
Screen size flexibility is another highlight. Both projectors can create images from 40 inches up to 300 inches, allowing them to work in a range of setups, from compact living rooms to dedicated home cinemas. They also run Google TV and support Wi-Fi 6, giving users access to streaming apps and smart TV features without needing an external media player.
Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, which is especially useful for users with multiple gaming consoles or high-end media devices. The Iris Ultra Max adds one more premium feature: an AI-assisted gimbal. This system is designed to automatically adjust image positioning and screen fitting, making setup easier for users who frequently move the projector or want a cleaner installation process.
Pricing starts at $1,899 for the JMGO Iris Ultra, down from its listed price of $2,399. The higher-end Iris Ultra Max is currently listed at $2,999, reduced from $3,499. Both models are available for pre-order, with the Iris Ultra Max scheduled to ship on October 19, 2026, followed by the Iris Ultra on October 26, 2026.
Pre-order buyers are also set to receive additional accessories, including either a floor stand or ceiling mount, 3D glasses, and an 8K HDMI cable.
With 4K 120Hz projection, RGB triple-laser technology, Dolby Vision, HDMI 2.1, and gaming-focused features, the JMGO Iris Ultra series is clearly targeting users who want a projector that can handle both cinematic entertainment and modern high-refresh-rate gaming.
