Iqunix Unveils MQ80: A Revolutionary Low-Profile Mechanical Keyboard with Sleek Design and Incredible Battery Life

Iqunix is creating waves among keyboard enthusiasts with its impressive lineup, and their latest tease, the MQ80, promises to continue the trend of innovation and quality. Building on past successes such as the highly-regarded 8 kHz polling EZ63 Hall-effect gaming keyboard and the upcoming Magi65 Pro, Iqunix is now gearing up to release what is essentially an 80% version of the crowd-favorite Magi65.

The MQ80 is set to dazzle with its standout features. Designed with a full aluminum body, it promises to deliver a high-quality finish and exudes a premium feel, much like its predecessor, the Magi65. Enhancing the MQ80’s appeal are its sleek PBT keycaps and a battery life that lasts for a staggering 350 hours. Its Le-Tray mount is a noteworthy innovation—a gasket-supported tray mount offering the tactile experience of a full-height gasket without additional thickness.

The MQ80 doesn’t skimp on connectivity or customization either. It supports VIA, enabling users to remap and customize as they see fit. Additionally, it boasts tri-mode connectivity with 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, and USB type-C wired options, alongside a hot-swap PCB for easy switch changes. It mirrors the Magi65’s flexibility with an FR4 plate and is likely to incorporate the Kailh-manufactured Gold Red switches, known for their smooth POM stem and satisfying sound.

Distinctively, the MQ80 adopts a more understated keycap design compared to the Magi65 series. It’s inspired by productivity and creative tasks, reflecting a thoughtful touch in the design of the accent keycaps.

Excitement is building as the MQ80 is slated to launch on Kickstarter on February 25, with a limited release of just 100 units. While pricing details are not yet available, early supporters can enjoy the perk of free worldwide shipping. It’s anticipated that following the Kickstarter release, the MQ80 will be available on Iqunix’s online store.

The impending MQ80 will face competition from notable names like the NuPhy Kick75 and Keychron’s array of low-profile keyboards. Yet, with its array of cutting-edge features and Iqunix’s reputation for excellence, the MQ80 is poised to carve its niche in the keyboard market. Keep an eye out for this launch—it might just redefine your typing experience.
