Now comes another attention-grabbing milestone. A well-known Weibo tipster, Digital Chat Station, claims that as of February 15 (week 7), activated iPhone 17 Pro Max units sold in China surpassed 10 million. Even more notable is the timeline: the phone reportedly crossed that mark in about 150 days, with an average selling price around 10,800 RMB.
Clearing 10 million units in roughly five months underscores just how strong demand has been for the iPhone 17 Pro Max in China. Whether buyers were drawn in by the design refresh, the premium positioning, or the unmistakably luxury-coded Cosmic Orange finish, Apple’s strategy appears to have landed exactly as intended—and at a scale that’s hard to ignore.
