Initially, a rumor suggested that Apple’s budget-friendly iPhone would be priced at $499 for 64GB of storage. Instead, for $599, you get double the storage, providing more value for your purchase.
The shift to a 128GB starting point also supports Apple Intelligence features more effectively. Apple’s commitment to user privacy through on-device generative AI features means these functions require more storage. Originally, Apple Intelligence used around 4GB, but it now demands 7GB, with expectations of further increases as the technology evolves.
