After spending over a month in its beta stage, Apple has officially rolled out the iOS 18.5 update for everyone. Available for all compatible iPhones at no cost, this update introduces several exciting features, including vibrant new Pride wallpapers. In tandem with the iPhone update, the iPadOS 18.5 is also available for compatible iPads.
No need for a developer account to access these updates. Simply go to your device’s Settings, navigate to General, select Software Update, and you’re set to install the latest version.
While iOS 18.5 is considered a smaller update compared to its predecessor, iOS 18.4, it still packs noteworthy enhancements. Here’s a glimpse of what’s new:
– Introduction of a dynamic Pride Harmony wallpaper.
– Parents now receive notifications whenever the Screen Time passcode is used on a child’s device.
– “Buy with iPhone” becomes an option for in-app purchases within the Apple TV app on third-party devices.
– A fix for an issue where the Apple Vision Pro app displayed a black screen.
– Support for carrier-provided satellite features on all iPhone 13 models.
Looking ahead, Apple plans to release the first beta of iOS 19 to developers next month, promising significant updates. With a major overhaul anticipated, including Home Screen enhancements inspired by visionOS with sleek translucent and glass-like effects, the next update is set to be a standout. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting developments!
