Introducing the Vivo Y400 5G: Packed with AMOLED Brilliance and a 6,000 mAh Powerhouse

Vivo has recently unveiled the Y400 5G smartphone in India, following the launch of its 4G counterpart. This new model brings several exciting upgrades, including a mid-range Snapdragon processor, an enhanced selfie camera, and faster charging capabilities, while maintaining the sleek design of the original.

At the heart of the Vivo Y400 5G is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, complemented by up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, although there’s no option for expanding storage. Impressively, the selfie camera has been significantly upgraded to 32 MP, making it perfect for selfies and video calls.

The battery remains a powerful 6,000 mAh, but now it supports rapid charging at 90 W, a significant improvement from the 44 W seen in the 4G model. The rear camera setup includes a dual arrangement with a 50 MP primary camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. The device runs on Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15, but details on software support remain undisclosed.

One of the standout features of the Y400 5G is its 6.67-inch AMOLED display, offering a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a bright 1,800 nits peak. Additional highlights include an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, strong IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, and dynamic RAM support up to 8 GB.

Pricing starts at INR 21,999 (around $250) for the base model with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, while the 256 GB variant costs INR 23,999 (about $273). Available in striking olive green and glam white, the smartphone will be available from August 7 through Vivo India’s official channels and selected retailers.
