Honor has just launched its latest flagship foldable phone, the Magic V5, in China. Alongside this, the company introduced the MagicPad 3, an impressive new Android tablet. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, this tablet ensures smooth performance even for demanding tasks. It comes equipped with a robust 16 GB of RAM and a massive 1 TB of storage.
The MagicPad 3 boasts a 13.3-inch LCD display with a 165 Hz refresh rate, offering a 91% screen-to-body ratio and excellent DCI-P3 color coverage. With a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and support for IMAX Enhanced, the display promises vibrant visuals. While it doesn’t feature the OLED panel of its predecessor, the battery has been significantly upgraded. It now packs a hefty 12,450 mAh battery, supporting 66 W fast charging. Thanks to the self-developed E2 chipset, the device can run up to 16 hours of online movie playback on a single charge.
One of its standout features is its sleek and lightweight design. Weighing just 595 grams and measuring only 5.79 mm thick, the MagicPad 3 is crafted for easy portability. Its “double R corner” design enhances comfort for users on the go.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the dual camera setup at the back—a 13 MP primary sensor combined with a 2 MP macro lens. A 9 MP front camera is perfect for selfies. Additional features include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, an eight-speaker sound system, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port supporting DisplayPort 1.2.
The MagicPad 3 is priced at CNY 2,999 (approximately $418) for the base model, which includes 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Those seeking more power can opt for the 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage variant, priced at CNY 4,199 (around $586).
