Introducing the Hisense Vidda NEW S100 Pro: A 144Hz Powerhouse

In a significant development for television enthusiasts, Hisense has expanded its product lineup with the introduction of the Vidda NEW S100 Pro in the Chinese market. This addition takes its place among the company’s latest offerings, boasting a number of impressive features that align it closely with the new U7 range debuting in the United States.

The S100 Pro is a 4K LED Backlight LCD TV that commands attention with its expansive 100-inch display. It takes on a sleek and modern design and is primed to deliver a captivating viewing experience. Although it shares many design elements and features with the 100U76N model, the S100 Pro carves out its own identity.

One of the notable differences between the S100 Pro and the U76N is the local dimming zones; the new model offers 192 local dimming zones compared to the 256 available on the U76N. However, both TVs feature an impressive 144Hz refresh rate, perfect for the most fluid and lifelike motion in fast-paced scenes. The S100 Pro comes with a 240 motion rate, slightly lower than the U76N’s 480, but still enough to ensure a premium viewing experience.

Color reproduction on the S100 Pro is nothing short of stunning, with its support for 95% of the DCI-P3 color space and compatibility with Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG. An added advantage is the RGB light sensor that auto-adjusts the display’s brightness in response to ambient light, ensuring the best possible viewing experience at all times.

Unlike its US counterpart which uses Google TV, the S100 Pro runs on the Vidda operating system commonly found in European models. The platform offers a user-friendly interface and smart features, including voice commands for hands-free operation.

The S100 Pro doesn’t just excel in displaying colors and details—it also shines in sound with its built-in 2.1 channel speakers. As for connectivity, the TV is well-equipped with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, as well as ports that cover your needs, such as HDMI 2.1 supporting 4K at a smooth 144Hz and USB 3.0 for additional multimedia options.

Currently, the Hisense Vidda NEW S100 Pro is available for purchase in China, priced at approximately 7,999 yuan ($1,120). While the North American market has access to the U76N, it remains to be seen if the S100 Pro will make its way there. Nonetheless, with its combination of high refresh rates, advanced color technology, and intelligent adaptability, the S100 Pro stands as a noteworthy contender in the realm of large-screen televisions, setting a high bar for competitors in the industry.
