Introducing the ASRock Phantom Gaming PG27QFW2A: A 27-Inch 1440p Monitor with a 400 Hz Refresh Rate

ASRock has unveiled a new addition to its gaming monitor lineup with the Phantom Gaming PG27QFW2A, a monitor that stands out with its impressive 27-inch IPS display, achieving a high refresh rate of 400 Hz at a 1440p resolution.

The PG27QFW2A is positioned to offer a superior combination of clarity and performance within ASRock’s range of gaming monitors. Unlike its sibling, the PG27FFX2A, which offers a 520 Hz refresh rate but a lower 1080p resolution, the PG27QFW2A promises to bring more detail with its 2560 x 1440 pixel display while still maintaining an extremely high refresh rate of 400 Hz.

The offerings of the PG27QFW2A go beyond its impressive refresh rate and resolution. The monitor is poised to deliver a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a peak brightness of 350 nits. Although full display specifications are yet to be disclosed by ASRock, the monitor will also support VESA Adaptive Sync and will come certified with AMD FreeSync Premium, ensuring smooth gameplay free from tearing with compatible AMD graphics cards.

Connectivity for the PG27QFW2A will be robust, featuring DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports to accommodate the latest hardware. In addition, a USB hub and a 3.5 mm jack will also be available for added convenience, allowing users to connect a variety of devices and audio equipment directly to the monitor.

Comfort and ergonomics haven’t been neglected either, as the monitor will include a versatile stand that allows for height adjustments, swivel, tilt, and rotation—a feature set consistent with the previously released PG27FFX2A model.

While the official pricing and availability for this exciting new gaming monitor are not yet established, the release schedule for previous ASRock monitor models such as the PG32UMF and PG558K suggests that enthusiasts might have to wait a little while longer to get their hands on the Phantom Gaming PG27QFW2A.

Enthusiasts eager to upgrade their gaming setup with ASRock’s latest high-performance monitor should stay tuned for further updates on this promising device.
