Introducing OnePlus Ace 5 Pro: A Powerhouse with Snapdragon 8 Elite and Massive 6,100 mAh Battery

Exciting news for tech enthusiasts, as OnePlus has unveiled its latest offerings in the Ace series – the OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro, exclusively in China. These new devices come as successors to last year’s Ace 3 line-up, boasting impressive advancements and powerful features that rival flagship models.

Focusing first on the high-end OnePlus Ace 5 Pro, it comes equipped with the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite processor from Qualcomm, complemented by the robust Adreno 830 GPU. You can choose from various configurations with 12 or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, alongside storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB, or even 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage to meet your data needs. The new device runs on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, although there’s no official word yet on future software updates.

Gamers will particularly favor the Ace 5 Pro for its innovative Fengchi Gaming Core technology, enabling smooth gaming at 120 fps in 1080p. The cooling system is another marvel, incorporating a sophisticated “double ice core VC” that utilizes an intricate chip air duct and aerospace-grade aluminum framing. This is topped off with an under-screen graphite heat dissipation film, ensuring your gaming sessions run cool and uninterrupted.

The smartphone’s visual capabilities are equally noteworthy, featuring a 6.78-inch flat LTPO AMOLED display with a crisp resolution of 2780 x 1264 pixels. It dazzles with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Enhanced with Crystal Shield Glass protection, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ support, its display promises a vibrant viewing experience.

The Ace 5 Pro’s camera system consists of a 50 MP Sony IMX906 main sensor complete with OIS support, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro sensor. Selfie and video chat enthusiasts will appreciate the 16 MP front-facing camera. While the device doesn’t support wireless charging, it compensates with a robust 6,100 mAh battery capable of 100 W fast charging, ensuring you’re never short on power.

For the slightly more budget-conscious, the Ace 5 features similar display and camera specifications while housing a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It has a slightly larger 6,415 mAh battery and also supports native 120 fps gaming, though it lacks the gaming WiFi chip seen in the Pro model.

Pricing for the Ace 5 Pro starts at CNY 3,399 (approximately $465/€450) for the base model, with the top-tier version available for CNY 4,699 (around $645/€620). Color options include purple, black, and white, with the device expected to hit Oppo’s online store in China on December 31.

For the Ace 5, prices begin at CNY 2,299 for the 12 GB + 256 GB version. It will be available in three attractive colors: titanium, black, and celadon. This variant is already accessible via Oppo’s online store.

Whether for top-tier gaming performance or everyday usage, OnePlus seems to be setting new benchmarks with these launches, capturing the attention of tech enthusiasts and gamers alike. Ready to make a splash, the OnePlus Ace 5 series looks like a promising choice in the competitive smartphone market.
