Zero Zero Robotics’ HoverAir drones have been making waves in the industry since their inception due to their compact size and user-friendly experience. The newest additions to their product lineup, the X1 Pro and X1 Pro Max, are set to take personal aerial photography to new heights, with their release anticipated to rival even the forthcoming DJI Neo’s debut in the ultra-compact drone segment.
Advanced Flight and Safety Features
The X1 Pro and X1 Pro Max models build upon the solid foundation laid by the original X1, offering new and improved functionalities. They come equipped with an enhanced Visual Inertial Odometry system called OmniTerrain, allowing them to adeptly navigate diverse terrains including water, snow, and cliffs. Enhanced safety features include active collision detection at the rear and on the sides, ensuring the drones can operate safely even in constrained spaces.

Compared to the original X1’s 2.7K/30fps or 1920×1080 (FHD)/60fps video resolution, the new models promise a major leap in imaging performance.
Redefining Portability and User Interface
Despite their enhanced features, both drones maintain a design ethos that prioritizes portability. When unfolded, they measure 173 x 149 x 39 mm (6.8 x 5.9 x 1.5 inches) and weigh 192 g (6.77 ounces), which marks a small increase over their predecessor. The design also sees aesthetic improvements, with more rounded corners. Additionally, the user interface has been refined, replacing the original two buttons and six mode indicator LEDs with a single button and an LCD screen, streamlining the user experience.
Price and Availability
The pricing and release date for the X1 Pro and X1 Pro Max remain under wraps, but given the imminent launch of competitors like the DJI Neo, potential buyers can anticipate these drones to hit the market shortly.
