Intel, facing stiff competition from AMD in the desktop CPU market, is set to introduce five new Arrow Lake-S processors. These processors have been officially confirmed thanks to a leaked slide, which provides a comprehensive look at Intel’s new offerings.
At the top tier, the Core Ultra 9 285K features an impressive 24-core configuration. It’s noteworthy, however, that this CPU operates without hyperthreading, meaning it offers 24 threads to match its core count. Moving down the range, the Core Ultra 7 series includes the 265K and 265KF models. Both come equipped with 20 cores and similarly lack hyperthreading. The differentiating factor for these two models is the presence of integrated graphics in the Core Ultra 7 265K, which includes 4 Xe cores clocked at 2.0 GHz, while the ‘KF’ variant skips the iGPU and lacks support for Intel vPro and SIPP technologies.
Finally, the Core Ultra 5 series comprises the 245K and 245KF models, offering a balanced 14-core setup with 6 efficiency and 8 performance cores. Again, the ‘K’ model features an integrated GPU with Xe cores, albeit at a slightly reduced clock speed of 1.9 GHz, while the ‘KF’ version is designed without it.
All the CPUs in this lineup will support up to 192 GB of dual-channel DDR5-6400 RAM and are equipped with 24 PCIe lanes, appealing to users looking for robust memory and expansion options.
