Intel’s Core Ultra 7 265K and 265KF “Arrow Lake” CPUs have recently seen a significant price drop, making them available for under $250 at major US retailers. Originally priced at $399 and $384, these processors are now available for $239.99 for the “K” variant and $229.99 for the “KF” variant. This marks a substantial 40% discount, a great deal considering these models launched not long ago.
Retailers are sweetening the deal even further with enticing bundle offers. For instance, Microcenter is offering a package that includes the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K CPU, an ASUS Z890 AYW Gaming Wi-Fi W motherboard, and a G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32GB DDR5-6000 memory kit for just $499, providing a $70 savings. Similarly, Newegg includes a Patriot Viper DDR5 6400 16 GB memory kit with the 265K.
While these price cuts are primarily in the US, Europe is also seeing some discounts across the Arrow Lake lineup. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265K and KF models stand out as excellent choices for consumers looking for capable multithreaded performance under $250. However, potential buyers should note that the gaming performance isn’t their strongest suit. As AMD rolls out more 3D V-Cache CPU options in the sub-$300 range, the competition in gaming performance may become stiffer for Intel.
