In terms of noise, this eGPU remains relatively modest, peaking at 53.2 dB (A) with its fan running at full throttle. This translates to a peak airflow of 20.75 CFM, ensuring your system stays cool even under heavy load. However, One-Netbook cautions that under extreme conditions, surface temperatures can hit 53.6°C. But don’t fret, the eGPU itself is designed to be kept away from you while you game, so comfort won’t be compromised.
For those eager to get their hands on the OneXGPU 2, it’s available for pre-order on Indiegogo. The standalone price is currently $839, or you can opt for the package deal that includes the ONEXPLAYER X1 for $1,838. It’s worth noting that these prices are set to increase after September 30, so acting fast could save you some bucks. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, though – One-Netbook expects to start shipping out pre-orders sometime in November 2024.
