Ikea and Xbox reveal the YXSTABY gaming furniture collection inspired by the Xbox controller
Ikea and Xbox have officially introduced the YXSTABY collection, a new lineup of gaming furniture and home accessories designed to bring a playful controller-inspired look into living rooms, bedrooms, and gaming spaces.
Created through close collaboration between Ikea and Xbox designers, the collection blends practical home furniture with recognizable elements from the Xbox wireless controller. The result is a nine-piece range that aims to appeal not only to dedicated gamers, but also to anyone who wants flexible, modern furniture with a fun tech-inspired twist.
One of the standout pieces is the YXSTABY thumbstick stool, available in green and black. Its design takes inspiration directly from the Xbox controller thumbstick, including a textured grip-style surface. Ikea says the grip is not just for appearance; it is intended to help the user stay comfortably in place, much like the thumbstick helps keep a thumb from slipping during gameplay.
The collection also includes a gaming and lounge chair with an angled backrest, a headrest, and a built-in storage mesh for keeping accessories close by. Controllers, cables, headsets, and other small gaming items can be stored within easy reach, making it a practical option for everyday use.
