IKEA Levels Up Your Living Room With Xbox-Inspired Furniture

Xbox and IKEA Tease Gaming-Inspired Furniture Collection for the Home

Xbox and IKEA appear to be joining forces on a new furniture and home accessories collection designed for gamers, and the first teaser is already getting plenty of attention online.

A short preview shared by the official Xbox and IKEA social accounts offers a quick look at several products inspired by familiar Xbox controller elements. One of the most noticeable items resembles the directional pad from an Xbox wireless controller, while another piece looks like a stool or small coffee table modeled after an analog thumbstick. The teaser also shows a bright Xbox-green cushion shaped like a classic cross-style D-pad.

Although neither company has revealed the full lineup, pricing, release date, or supported regions, the early glimpse suggests the collection could blend gaming culture with practical home design. The idea fits naturally with IKEA’s reputation for affordable, space-friendly furniture and Xbox’s growing push to make gaming feel more connected to everyday life.

Reports suggest the full announcement could happen around Gamescom later this month, though that has not been officially confirmed. Given the strong reaction to the teaser, there is already significant interest from gamers, collectors, and fans of themed home décor. The video has attracted millions of views, indicating that an Xbox-inspired furniture range could become one of the more talked-about gaming lifestyle launches of the year.

There is also a chance the collection may arrive as a limited-edition release or be sold only in select markets. That would not be surprising, as gaming-themed home products often generate major demand among fans and can sell out quickly when availability is restricted.

This would not be the first time Xbox has moved beyond consoles and controllers into home products. In the past, Xbox-themed appliances included a Series S-style toaster that could imprint the Xbox logo on bread, as well as a mini fridge designed to look like the Xbox Series X. Those products became popular partly because they leaned into the playful side of Xbox branding while still being functional household items.

If the IKEA collaboration becomes a full furniture collection, it could take that concept even further. Instead of novelty appliances, Xbox fans may soon be able to decorate living rooms, gaming corners, bedrooms, or entertainment spaces with furniture inspired directly by the console’s design language.

For now, the teaser leaves plenty of questions unanswered. Will the D-pad cushion and thumbstick table be part of a larger range? Will there be shelves, chairs, lighting, desks, or storage units designed for gaming setups? And most importantly, will the collection be widely available?

Until Xbox and IKEA share more details, fans can only speculate. But based on the early reaction, this collaboration has already succeeded in one thing: making gamers imagine what an Xbox-themed home setup could look like.
