iBUYPOWER Enters the Mini PC Market With a Powerful AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 System

iBUYPOWER is best known for gaming desktops, pre-built PCs, and workstation-class systems, but the company is now stepping into a new category with one of its first high-performance mini PCs. Its latest system, the iBUYPOWER Pro AMD Ryzen AI Halo Mini PC, is built around AMD’s flagship Zen 5 mobile processor and aims to deliver serious workstation, AI, and gaming performance in a compact form factor.

At the center of the new mini PC is the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495, a premium mobile chip featuring 16 cores and 32 threads. This processor is designed for demanding users who need strong CPU performance, integrated AI acceleration, and capable graphics without relying on a large desktop tower. With its combination of CPU, NPU, and integrated GPU power, the chip is positioned for creators, developers, professionals, and enthusiasts working with modern workloads.

The Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 also includes Radeon 8065S integrated graphics, offering higher out-of-the-box clock speeds compared to the Ryzen AI Max+ 395. That gives the iBUYPOWER mini PC enough graphics performance for light to moderate gaming, GPU-accelerated creative tasks, media work, and AI-assisted applications. For users who want a compact system that can handle more than basic office tasks, this makes the machine a much more interesting option.

Memory support is another major highlight. The iBUYPOWER Pro AMD Ryzen AI Halo Mini PC can be configured with up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 8000 MT/s. That large memory pool is especially useful for professional software, multitasking, local AI tools, and large language model workloads. While some competing compact systems are beginning to push beyond 128 GB with larger unified memory configurations, 128 GB remains more than enough for many heavy-duty users.

Storage support is also generous for a mini PC. The system includes dual M.2 2280 slots, allowing up to 8 TB of fast SSD storage. This gives users plenty of room for large project files, AI models, games, applications, and media libraries while still benefiting from high-speed solid-state performance.

Connectivity is another area where the system feels modern and premium. The mini PC features WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for the latest wireless networking and peripheral support. It also includes dual 10G LAN ports, making it a strong choice for users who need high-speed wired networking for file transfers, server access, content production workflows, or advanced home and office setups.

For external devices, the iBUYPOWER Pro AMD Ryzen AI Halo Mini PC offers dual USB4 Type-C ports with 40 Gbps bandwidth, along with USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and USB 2.0 ports for accessories and peripherals. Display output is handled through one DisplayPort 1.4 connection and one HDMI 2.1 port, giving users flexibility for high-resolution monitors and modern display setups.

With this launch, iBUYPOWER is clearly targeting the premium mini PC segment rather than the entry-level market. The system starts at $3,999, placing it in the high-end category for compact desktops. Availability is expected this quarter.

The iBUYPOWER Pro AMD Ryzen AI Halo Mini PC is designed for buyers who want desktop-class capability in a much smaller footprint. With a 16-core Zen 5 processor, strong integrated graphics, up to 128 GB of high-speed memory, dual SSD support, WiFi 7, USB4, and dual 10G networking, it brings together many of the features professionals and power users are looking for in a compact AI-ready workstation.
