HyperOS 3 Hits 95% Deployment as Xiaomi Closes In on Its March 2026 Deadline

Xiaomi is in the final stretch of its HyperOS 3 rollout, with the update now reaching about 95% of the devices the company previously confirmed as eligible. After announcing the update plan in September 2025, Xiaomi has steadily pushed HyperOS 3 (based on Android 16) to phones and tablets in phases—and the latest tracking shows only a small group still waiting.

HyperOS 3 was first introduced in August 2025, and by the following month Xiaomi had expanded the scope, confirming that around 70 devices would be supported. The broader schedule targeted more than 60 global devices receiving the update by March 2026. With most of those devices already updated, attention has shifted to the last remaining models expected to be included before the rollout wraps up.

According to the current rollout status, these devices are among the final batch still expected to receive HyperOS 3:

If you’re using one of these models, the update may simply be pending its regional release window or staged deployment wave. Xiaomi typically rolls out major firmware updates gradually to manage server load and monitor early feedback, which is why some devices receive the update earlier than others—even when they’re on the same eligibility list.

While HyperOS 3 is nearing completion, Xiaomi is also moving ahead with HyperOS 3.1. A beta version has reportedly started appearing for a limited set of devices, but not every phone or tablet that receives HyperOS 3 will necessarily qualify for the 3.1 update. In other words, HyperOS 3 is the big milestone for most supported models, while 3.1 may be more selective.

As things stand, Xiaomi is still expected to finish the planned HyperOS 3 rollout by March 2026, bringing the company close to delivering on its earlier update roadmap for Android 16 across its Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco device families.
