A new leak has revealed key details about the upcoming Huawei Watch D3, suggesting that Huawei’s next health-focused smartwatch will bring several meaningful upgrades over the Watch D2. The device is expected to keep its signature blood pressure monitoring feature while improving the display, design, battery capacity, and wireless connectivity.
According to the leaked information, the Huawei Watch D3 will feature a larger 1.92-inch LTPO AMOLED display, up from the 1.82-inch screen used on the previous model. However, the resolution is expected to remain unchanged at 480 x 408 pixels. Even with the bigger display, Huawei appears to have made the watch noticeably slimmer. The case is reportedly 11.4 mm thick, compared to 13.3 mm on the Huawei Watch D2.
Battery capacity may also see a small but welcome increase. The Huawei Watch D3 is said to include a 540 mAh battery, slightly larger than the 524 mAh unit in its predecessor. Despite the thinner body and larger screen, Huawei is still expected to advertise up to 6 days of battery life under typical use.
Connectivity is another area where the smartwatch could receive an upgrade. The Watch D3 reportedly moves from Bluetooth 5.2 to Bluetooth 6, while GPS support is also expected to return. The watch is said to retain an IP68 water resistance rating, although users may still need to be cautious around water depending on Huawei’s official usage guidance.
The Huawei Watch D3 is expected to continue focusing heavily on health tracking. Its standout feature remains the built-in inflatable cuff, designed to provide more accurate blood pressure readings than standard optical sensor-based methods. The leak also points to 24-hour blood pressure monitoring and a reporting feature, making the watch a potentially useful tool for users who want deeper insight into their cardiovascular health.
Other health and fitness features are expected to include ECG support, blood oxygen saturation monitoring, heart rate tracking, step counting, sleep tracking, and skin surface temperature measurement. These additions would position the Watch D3 as one of Huawei’s more advanced wearable health devices.
The smartwatch is also said to include 64 MB of RAM and 64 MB of internal storage. While those numbers may sound modest, they are unlikely to matter much in everyday use, as this type of smartwatch does not typically offer broad user-accessible storage or app handling in the same way as more open wearable platforms.
One of the biggest changes may be the price. The Huawei Watch D3 is rumored to launch at around 450 euros, which would make it about 50 euros more expensive than the previous model at launch. For comparison, the Huawei Watch D2 can currently be found for significantly less in some European markets.
If the leak proves accurate, the Huawei Watch D3 will be a refined upgrade rather than a complete redesign. The larger LTPO AMOLED display, slimmer case, slightly bigger battery, Bluetooth 6 support, GPS, and advanced blood pressure monitoring could make it an appealing option for users looking for a smartwatch with serious health-tracking capabilities. However, the higher expected price may make buyers weigh the improvements carefully against the more affordable Watch D2.
