Honor has just unveiled the Pad GT 2 Pro alongside the new Honor X70, offering an enticing option for gaming enthusiasts. This fresh release boasts the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a last-generation flagship SoC that’s still a strong performer for gaming and emulation.
Though not as advanced as the newer 8 Elite, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is paired with Honor’s “Phantom Engine,” enabling the tablet to support a native 165 frame rate in compatible games. To ensure consistent performance during intense gaming sessions, it features an impressive “Ice Cooling System.”
The Honor Pad GT 2 Pro also includes a substantial 10,100 mAh battery. While not dramatically different from its predecessor, this battery capacity promises decent gameplay durations.
Although Honor didn’t specify the screen size at launch, the device features a 165 Hz display with a “3K” resolution. Maintaining its slim profile, the tablet measures just 5.8 mm in thickness and weighs 580 grams, making it both sleek and lightweight.
Additional features include an eight-speaker spatial audio system, IMAX Enhanced support, and compatibility with both stylus and keyboard accessories.
In terms of pricing, the entry-level model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage is priced at CNY 2,499 (approximately $349). For those seeking more power, the top-tier version with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage is available for CNY 3,399 (around $474).
This new offering from Honor is poised to appeal to gamers and tech enthusiasts alike, delivering a compelling mix of performance and features.
