Honor Unveils New 5G Tablet Featuring a Spacious 12.1-Inch Display

Honor Pad 20 Launches in Malaysia With 12.1-Inch 120Hz Display, 5G Option, and Snapdragon 7 Gen 3

Honor has officially introduced the Honor Pad 20 in Malaysia, bringing a large-screen Android tablet aimed at users who want a mix of entertainment, productivity, and mobile connectivity. One of the biggest highlights of the new tablet is that it comes in both Wi-Fi and 5G versions, giving buyers more flexibility depending on how they plan to use it.

The Honor Pad 20 features a spacious 12.1-inch LCD display with a sharp 3,000 x 1,872-pixel resolution. The screen also supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, which should make scrolling, multitasking, gaming, and video playback feel smoother than on standard 60Hz tablets. While Honor’s higher-end Paperlike model offers an even faster refresh rate, the regular Pad 20 still delivers a strong visual experience for everyday use.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. This processor is designed to handle daily tasks such as web browsing, streaming, document editing, online classes, and light gaming with good efficiency. Paired with a large 10,100mAh battery, the Honor Pad 20 is built for long usage sessions, making it suitable for students, remote workers, and users who want a reliable device for entertainment on the go.

Honor has also made a small distinction between the Wi-Fi and 5G models when it comes to cameras. The Wi-Fi version includes an 8MP rear camera, while the 5G variant gets an upgraded 13MP rear camera. Both versions come with an 8MP front-facing camera, which should be useful for video calls, online meetings, and virtual learning.

On the software side, the Honor Pad 20 runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. The tablet also includes a six-speaker audio system, which should improve the experience when watching movies, listening to music, or joining video calls. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.

Despite its large display and battery, the tablet remains relatively slim. The Wi-Fi model measures 6.29mm thick and weighs about 525 grams, while the 5G model is slightly thicker at 6.39mm and weighs around 548 grams.

In Malaysia, the Honor Pad 20 starts at RM1,999, which is approximately $495, for the Wi-Fi model with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 5G version, which comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, is priced at RM2,299, or around $569.

To make the package more appealing, Honor is including a complimentary Magic-Pencil 4s stylus with USB-C support and a Smart Bluetooth Keyboard. This makes the Honor Pad 20 a stronger option for users who want a tablet that can also function as a lightweight productivity device.

With its large 120Hz display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 performance, 5G availability, long-lasting battery, and bundled accessories, the Honor Pad 20 is positioned as a well-rounded Android tablet for work, study, and entertainment in Malaysia.
