Honor has taken another leap forward in the laptop market with the launch of the MagicBook Pro 14, currently making its debut in China. This impressive notebook stands out with a stunning OLED display and the power of Intel’s latest processors, but its availability in North American and European markets remains a mystery for now.
Priced around $800 for the base model, the MagicBook Pro 14 offers great value, and early adopters can enjoy additional launch discounts. While global enthusiasts eagerly await, details about an international release are still under wraps.
The MagicBook Pro 14 is packed with options between an Intel Core Ultra 5 225H or the more advanced Core Ultra 9 285H processors. RAM configurations range from 16GB to a hefty 32GB, ensuring smooth performance for a variety of workloads. All versions boast a 1TB SSD, offering ample storage that can be upgraded as needed.
The true highlight, however, is the 14.6-inch OLED display. Delivering a spectacular resolution of 3,120 x 2,080 pixels, it boasts a brightness of 700 nits and a silky-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The color reproduction is exceptional, covering the entire DCI-P3 color spectrum, with a color accuracy Delta E of under 0.5. For those who prefer a touchscreen experience, this feature adds a bit of weight but enhances the device’s versatility.
Connectivity is another strong suit for this device. Two USB 3.2 Type-C ports not only handle charging but also offer data transfers at 10 Gbit/s. Add to that HDMI 2.1 and a handy 3.5mm headphone jack, alongside two USB-A ports providing 5 Gbit/s speeds.
For video calls and sound clarity, the MagicBook is equipped with a Full-HD webcam, two speakers, and three microphones. Security is bolstered by a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, although the keyboard lacks a numpad, which some users might miss.
Powering the device through a full workday is a robust 92Wh battery, promising up to 12 hours of usage under normal office conditions, keeping you going from morning meetings to after-hours emails with ease.
The MagicBook Pro 14 not only excels in design and performance but also positions itself as a promising new entry in Honor’s lineup of laptops. Its potential global launch could broaden its acclaim, offering users worldwide an enticing option for both work and play.
