Honor Unleashes Magic7 Lite in Europe Featuring Massive 6,600 mAh Silicon-Carbon Battery

Honor has introduced the Magic7 Lite to the European market, adding to its Magic7 series lineup. This mid-range smartphone follows the Magic6 Lite, which was launched in December 2023. Although the new model doesn’t feature drastic changes in terms of design, processing power, or camera technology, it does boast a significant enhancement in its battery life.

The standout feature of the Magic7 Lite is its 6,600 mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is a leap forward from the 5,300 mAh battery found in its predecessor. This new battery technology supports rapid 66 W wired charging and is claimed to withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -30 °C (-22 °F) to 55 °C (131 °F) thanks to its durable armor-level protective coating.

Running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, the Magic7 Lite provides solid performance with configurations of 8 or 12 GB RAM paired with either 256 or 512 GB of storage—although it’s worth noting that there is no option for expanding storage. The smartphone comes pre-installed with MagicOS 8.0, which is based on Android 14, but there are no details about future software updates.

For photography enthusiasts, the Magic7 Lite offers a dual-camera system on the back with a high-resolution 108 MP primary sensor featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 5 MP ultrawide sensor. The front hosts a 16 MP camera designed for selfies and video calls.

The Magic7 Lite’s visual experience is delivered through a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display, offering crisp images with a resolution of 2700 x 1224 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Impressively, it has a peak brightness potential of 4000 nits.

In terms of durability, the phone has IP64 certification for dust and water resistance. It’s available in sophisticated color choices of Titanium Purple and Titanium Black, adding style to its slim frame that measures 162.8 x 75.5 x 7.98 mm and weighs 189 grams.

Starting at £399 (around $495 or €479), the Magic7 Lite with 8 GB RAM and 512 GB storage will be available for purchase beginning January 15, 2025, in the UK. It will be offered through popular retailers and carriers such as EE, Virgin Media 02, Three, Vodafone, Argos, Very, and Currys. For those eager to get their hands on the latest model, keep an eye out for availability announcements.
