Honor is gearing up to kick off 2026 with a new battery-focused smartphone, and it’s already turning heads before launch. The company has confirmed that the Honor Power 2 will be unveiled on January 5, 2026, and official images are out early—showcasing a familiar-looking design and one of the biggest batteries we’ve seen in a modern mainstream phone.
At first glance, the Honor Power 2 clearly departs from the look of the original Honor Power. The most noticeable change is the rear camera layout: instead of the previous model’s distinctive camera island, the Power 2 adopts a large rectangular camera bar that stretches across the back while still housing three rear cameras. The frame also shifts to a flat, metallic style rather than the curved edges seen on its predecessor, giving the phone a sharper, more contemporary silhouette.
Up front, Honor has altered the screen cutout too. The Power 2 uses a circular hole-punch for the selfie camera, replacing the pill-shaped cutout found on the earlier model. The overall result is a phone that looks very much in line with current flagship design trends—especially when viewed in its bold orange finish.
Honor will sell the Power 2 in three colors: Sunburst Orange, Snowfield White, and Phantom Night Black. While the company hasn’t officially shared a full spec sheet yet, early product listings have revealed several key details that outline what buyers can expect.
According to the information currently available, the Honor Power 2 features a 6.79-inch LTPS display with a 2640 x 1080 resolution. Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite processor, paired with 12GB of RAM. Storage options are expected to include 256GB and 512GB variants, giving users room for apps, photos, and large video files without immediately relying on cloud storage.
The headline feature, however, is the battery. The Honor Power 2 is listed with a massive 10,080mAh capacity, jumping well beyond the 8,000mAh battery in the previous model. That size is aimed squarely at people who want longer time between charges—whether that’s heavy social media use, gaming, travel days, or work on the go.
Charging speeds also look impressive. The phone is said to support 80W fast wired charging, helping reduce the inconvenience of charging such a large battery. It also includes 27W reverse wired charging, which effectively allows the Honor Power 2 to function like a power bank for other devices. In practical terms, it could fast-charge compatible phones or accessories when you’re away from an outlet.
With its January 5, 2026 launch date locked in and its biggest upgrades already in the spotlight, the Honor Power 2 is shaping up to be a strong option for anyone prioritizing battery life while still wanting a modern design, large display, and speedy charging.
