Honor Play10 Debuts: Entry-Level Android Go Phone With a 5,000mAh Battery

Honor is expanding its Play lineup again. Just a month after introducing the Play10C, the brand has unveiled the Honor Play10 4G, a budget-friendly smartphone aimed at users who want a big screen, long battery life, and everyday essentials without the premium price tag.

At the heart of the Play10 4G is the MediaTek Helio G81, paired with up to 4 GB of RAM. Storage tops out at 128 GB, and there’s a microSD slot for up to 1 TB of additional space—great for photos, videos, and offline media. The phone runs the Android Go edition, a streamlined version of Android designed to keep entry-level hardware smooth and responsive. The company hasn’t shared details about long-term software support, so buyers should plan with that in mind.

The Play10 4G features a 6.74-inch LCD display with a 1600 x 720 resolution, delivering plenty of screen real estate for social feeds, video, and casual gaming. It measures 167.7 x 77.7 x 8.55 mm and weighs about 189 grams, striking a practical balance between size and portability.

For photos, there’s a 13 MP rear camera for everyday shots and a 5 MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Powering it all is a 5,000 mAh battery with 10 W wired charging, built to last through a full day of light to moderate use.

Despite its entry-level positioning, the Play10 4G checks several boxes that many budget buyers still value. It includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired audio, a fingerprint reader for added security, and IP52 rating for basic dust and splash protection. Connectivity covers the essentials with 4G, Wi‑Fi 5 (ac), and Bluetooth 5.1.

Color options include ocean cyan, starry purple, and midnight black. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
