Honor Magic 8 Pro Adds Camera Grip With Zoom Controls and a 200mm Telephoto Lens

Honor Magic 8 Pro owners may soon have a much more camera-like way to shoot photos and video, thanks to a new accessory kit with a dedicated grip and zoom controls.

The standout addition is a one-handed camera grip designed to make the Honor Magic 8 Pro easier and more secure to hold, especially when you’re shooting on the move. At the top of the grip sits a large red shutter button that makes taking photos feel more like using a traditional camera. Just beneath it, a built-in slider can be operated with your index finger to control the camera’s zoom, giving you quicker, smoother framing without constantly reaching for on-screen controls.

The grip also adds extra physical buttons to speed up recording. Behind the shutter button are two more controls: one button is dedicated to starting video recording instantly, while another doubles as the phone’s power button and a programmable function key, allowing users to set it up for a preferred shortcut or camera function.

On the front of the grip, there’s a dial that expands creative control. It can be used to adjust exposure settings, switch filters, and handle other customizable functions, which could be a big advantage for anyone who wants faster manual-style adjustments for photography and video.

Rounding out the kit is a 200mm teleconverter, aimed at extending reach for long-distance shots. While full specifications haven’t been revealed yet, the inclusion of a teleconverter suggests this kit is targeting users who want more serious zoom and portrait-style options from the Honor Magic 8 Pro.

More hardware details and official availability for the Telesin camera kit are expected to be announced at MWC 2026 in early March. The brand’s products are typically available in Europe, so buyers there may have an easier path to purchase once the kit launches.
