HKC has expanded its gaming monitor lineup with several new high-refresh-rate displays aimed at both enthusiast and budget-conscious gamers. Announced during Bilibili World 2026, the new models include the company’s first RGB Mini LED gaming monitors, along with a more affordable fast IPS display that still delivers dual-mode performance.
The biggest highlight is HKC’s new APEX series featuring RGB Mini LED technology. The two models, APEX 27U165D and APEX 32U165VD, were previously shown at Computex 2026 and now have more detailed specifications. These monitors are designed for gamers and creators who want stronger brightness, richer colors, deeper contrast, and smoother motion than traditional LED displays can provide.
RGB Mini LED is different from standard Mini LED because it uses pure RGB direct emission. This helps improve color volume, widen the color gamut, and deliver more vivid visuals. For users who play visually demanding games, edit content, or watch HDR media, this technology could offer a more vibrant and immersive experience.
The APEX 27U165D and APEX 32U165VD share many of the same core features, with the main difference being screen size. The APEX 27U165D uses a 27-inch panel, while the APEX 32U165VD steps up to a larger 31.4-inch display. Both monitors support a dual-mode configuration, allowing users to switch between 4K at 165Hz and Full HD at 330Hz.
This dual-mode setup is especially useful for gamers who play different types of titles. For story-driven games, racing games, and visually rich open-world titles, 4K at 165Hz offers sharp detail and smooth motion. For competitive esports games where every frame matters, switching to 1080p at 330Hz provides a much higher refresh rate for faster response and better fluidity.
HKC is also focusing heavily on color performance. The new RGB Mini LED monitors cover 99.9% of the DCI-P3 color space, 99.9% Adobe RGB, 100% sRGB, and up to 95% or 98% BT.2020 depending on the model. This makes them attractive not only for gaming but also for color-sensitive creative work such as video editing, digital art, and photo production.
The displays also feature low-reflection panels with reflectivity below 1.8%, helping reduce glare in bright rooms. This should make the monitors easier to use in different lighting conditions, whether on a gaming desk, in a studio, or in a multi-monitor workstation.
Another major advantage is local dimming. The 27-inch model includes 3,456 dimming zones, while the larger 31.4-inch version raises that number to 4,788 zones. More dimming zones allow the monitor to control brightness more precisely across the screen, improving black levels, highlights, and overall HDR performance.
Peak brightness reaches up to 1,400 nits, while full-screen brightness is rated at 700 nits. These brightness levels place the monitors in serious HDR territory and match the requirements associated with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1400 certification for next-generation premium displays.
Connectivity is also modern. The 32-inch APEX 32U165VD includes DisplayPort 2.1 for high-bandwidth video output, along with dual USB-C ports. One of those USB-C ports supports 98W power delivery, making it possible to charge compatible laptops and devices through a single cable. The 27-inch APEX 27U165D also includes USB-C with 90W power delivery.
While the APEX RGB Mini LED monitors target the premium gaming display market, HKC has not ignored buyers looking for a more affordable option. The company also introduced the Falcon 27U165A, a fast IPS gaming monitor that brings dual-mode performance to a lower price point.
The HKC Falcon 27U165A supports 4K at 165Hz and 1080p at 320Hz, making it a strong option for gamers who want both sharp image quality and ultra-smooth competitive gameplay without paying premium Mini LED prices. It uses a fast IPS panel and offers 95% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, VESA HDR 400 certification, and Delta E below 2 for improved color accuracy.
For ports, the Falcon 27U165A includes DisplayPort 2.1 with 54Gbps bandwidth and HDMI 2.1, giving users support for modern PCs and gaming consoles. The monitor is priced at 1,683 yuan, roughly 248 US dollars. With a 5% discount coupon, the price drops to 1,599 yuan, or about 235 US dollars.
HKC’s latest monitor lineup shows a clear two-part strategy. The APEX 27U165D and APEX 32U165VD are aimed at enthusiasts who want cutting-edge RGB Mini LED technology, extremely high brightness, wide color coverage, and flexible refresh-rate modes. Meanwhile, the Falcon 27U165A targets mainstream gamers who want 4K 165Hz gaming and 1080p high-refresh performance at a far more accessible price.
