Hisense has introduced the impressive Starlight S1 Pro Laser TV in China, offering an advanced viewing experience that was recently showcased at their 2024 New Product Launch Conference on June 12th. The Starlight S1 Pro presents a new dimension to home entertainment with its range of large formats, spanning from 75 inches to 100 inches.
Each model is powered by the bespoke Hisense LPU digital laser engine, ensuring exceptional clarity and detail with 4K resolution. Brightness levels reach up to a powerful 450 nits, making for a vivid and bright picture regardless of ambient lighting. A standout feature is its color coverage, with the laser TVs boasting 151% of the DCi-P3 color gamut complemented by a robust 10-bit color depth.
For the cinephiles, the S1 Pro series welcomes modern cinematic technology into the home. It includes support for IMAX Enhanced content, providing a distinctly immersive viewing experience, as well as a dedicated Filmmaker Mode, ensuring movies can be watched as the creators intended.
The intelligence of these TVs extends beyond their picture quality; dual AI cameras offer automatic focus and screen alignment, which helps simplify the setup process and enhances the overall user experience. Operating on Android 11, the devices include a range of connection options, featuring dual HDMI ports (one with eARC support), RJ45 for wired internet, and USB ports. As part of the package, Hisense provides the ultra-thin Foldable Screen 2.0, which is meticulously crafted to work in harmony with their laser projector technology.
The integration of Harman Kardon speakers takes audio performance to the next level. The 75-inch models are outfitted with a 2.1 channel setup, while the larger models boast a 2.1.2 channel system, incorporating Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support. This opens up a spatial soundscape that envelops the audience, replicating a theater-like surround sound within the comfort of home.
Currently available for purchase in China, the Hisense Starlight S1 Pro Laser TV’s price starts at approximately 9,999 yuan (about $1,380) for the 75-inch variant and goes up to 26,999 yuan (around $3,725) for the luxurious 100-inch model. While international availability, including potential release in the US market, remains uncertain, this launch certainly fortifies Hisense’s commitment to bringing pioneering home theater solutions to consumers.
This launch, coupled with the state-of-the-art features of the Starlight S1 Pro Laser TV series, points toward a burgeoning trend in consumer electronics: the fusion of convenience, cutting-edge technology, and cinematic quality to elevate the in-home entertainment experience. Whether it will soon be available globally or remain an exclusive offering remains to be seen, but it exemplifies Hisense’s vision for the future of home cinema.
