Haylou Watch Hyper Launches as an Affordable AMOLED Smartwatch With Offline Maps and 18-Day Battery Life
Haylou has launched the Watch Hyper, a budget-friendly smartwatch designed for users who want outdoor tracking, fitness features, and long battery life without paying premium smartwatch prices. With a launch price of $85, the new wearable brings a large AMOLED display, dual-band GPS, offline maps, and up to 18 days of battery life.
The Haylou Watch Hyper features a 1.97-inch AMOLED screen with adaptive brightness. While the company has not listed the exact peak brightness level, the display is designed to remain easy to read in different lighting conditions, making it practical for both indoor workouts and outdoor activities.
One of the biggest selling points of the Watch Hyper is its battery life. The smartwatch comes with a 390mAh battery, which Haylou says can last up to 18 days on a single charge with typical use. For users relying on GPS tracking, the battery life is rated at up to 24 hours, which should be enough for long hikes, runs, cycling sessions, and other outdoor adventures.
GPS performance is another major focus. The Haylou Watch Hyper includes dual-band GPS with L1 and L5 positioning, which is intended to improve location accuracy in more challenging environments. This can be especially useful in areas with tall buildings, dense trees, or difficult terrain. The watch also supports offline maps, giving users a helpful navigation tool when exploring new routes without needing constant phone connectivity.
Fitness tracking is well covered, with 170 sports modes available. The smartwatch also supports automatic workout recognition, VO2 Max tracking, and one-tap Strava sync. However, Haylou has not confirmed support for syncing with other fitness platforms.
For health monitoring, the Watch Hyper can track heart rate, stress, and blood oxygen levels. It also offers multiple heart-rate settings and two-way syncing with the companion app. One notable omission is sleep tracking, which is available on many competing smartwatches in the same category.
The smartwatch is rated 5 ATM for water resistance, meaning it can handle sweat, rain, and swimming-related exposure. This makes it a more versatile choice for fitness users who need a wearable that can keep up with daily activity and outdoor conditions.
The Haylou Watch Hyper is available in black and silver color options. At $85, it positions itself as an appealing option for buyers searching for an affordable AMOLED smartwatch with GPS, offline maps, strong battery life, and a wide range of workout modes.
