Hamilton Refreshes the Khaki Field Power Reserve 40mm With Two Striking New Dials

Hamilton has expanded its Khaki Field Power Reserve 40 mm collection with two fresh dial colors, giving the rugged field watch a more versatile and modern look. The latest additions arrive in matte olive green and matte mid-blue, joining the previously released black and white versions. With these new options, buyers now have four dial choices in the Khaki Field Power Reserve lineup.

The new Hamilton Khaki Field Power Reserve 40 mm models keep the same practical design and mechanical specifications that made the original releases appealing, but the updated colors bring a stronger outdoor and everyday-wear character. The olive green dial leans into the watch’s military-inspired roots, while the mid-blue version offers a cleaner, slightly more contemporary style.

Each model comes fitted with a NATO textile strap matched to the dial color, complete with leather loops for a classic field-watch feel. Hamilton also offers the watch with a sandblasted steel bracelet featuring a quick-release system, giving buyers an easy way to switch between a casual fabric strap and a more durable metal bracelet.

Pricing starts at CHF 765 or €915 for the NATO strap versions. The sandblasted steel bracelet models are priced at CHF 845 or €995.

The watch uses a 40 mm case with a thickness of 11.95 mm, making it a practical size for daily use while still maintaining the durable presence expected from a field watch. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal with an internal anti-reflective coating, helping improve visibility in bright conditions.

One of the standout features is the power reserve indicator positioned to the right of 9 o’clock. Designed with a fuel-gauge-style layout, it displays markings from F for full to E for empty. A small arrow moves counterclockwise as the mainspring winds down, giving the wearer a quick and intuitive view of how much running time remains.

The hands and printed hour markers are treated with old-radium-colored Super-LumiNova, adding a vintage-inspired appearance while improving low-light readability. This detail fits well with the Khaki Field design language, blending heritage styling with modern materials.

Inside the watch is Hamilton’s H-23 mechanical movement, developed in-house and offering an impressive 80-hour power reserve. That extended running time means the watch can be set aside for a weekend and still be ticking when picked up again.

The Hamilton Khaki Field Power Reserve 40 mm is also rated for 100 meters of water resistance, making it suitable for daily wear, outdoor use, and light water exposure.

With the arrival of the green and blue dial versions, the Khaki Field Power Reserve 40 mm becomes an even more attractive option for watch enthusiasts looking for a mechanical field watch with strong legibility, useful power reserve tracking, and a choice of classic yet distinctive colors.
