GIGABYTE Unveils AORUS P1600W: A Compact 160mm Powerhouse with 80+ Titanium Efficiency

GIGABYTE has officially launched its AORUS P1600W 80 Plus Titanium Modular PCIe 5.1 AI TOP power supply, a high-end PSU built for demanding AI systems, enthusiast gaming rigs, and powerful workstation-class PC builds.

First shown at Computex 2026, the AORUS P1600W is designed to deliver massive power output in a surprisingly compact body. Despite offering up to 1600W of power, the unit measures just 160 mm, making it one of the more compact power supplies in its performance category. That combination of high wattage and small size makes it especially appealing for builders who want extreme performance without sacrificing too much case space.

The new AORUS P1600W supports the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, positioning it for next-generation graphics cards, flagship processors, and future PC upgrades. It also carries an 80 Plus Titanium efficiency rating, which means it is engineered to waste less energy, produce less heat, and maintain strong power delivery under heavy load.

One of the key technologies behind its compact design is Gallium Nitride, or GaN. This allows for higher power density compared to traditional designs, helping GIGABYTE fit a 1600W power supply into a smaller footprint. For PC builders working with high-performance components, this can make system assembly easier while still leaving enough overhead for demanding hardware.

GIGABYTE has also equipped the AORUS P1600W with a digital power design and 100% Japanese capacitors. These components are aimed at improving voltage stability, durability, and long-term reliability, which are important for systems used in extended gaming sessions, AI workloads, content creation, rendering, and other heavy computing tasks.

The PSU is clearly built with next-generation graphics performance in mind. It can support up to four graphics cards, making it suitable for multi-GPU configurations and AI-focused setups that require serious graphics power. The unit includes two native 16-pin to 16-pin PCIe cables, along with two dual 8-pin to 16-pin PCIe cables, giving users flexibility for different GPU configurations.

Another standout feature is the integrated LCD Edge View display. This screen allows users to monitor power-related information directly from the power supply itself. Through GIGABYTE Control Center, users can also customize what appears on the display, adding both functionality and personalization to high-end PC builds.

For AI users, the AORUS P1600W works with AI TOP Utility, enabling real-time monitoring of power consumption and other system metrics during AI workloads. This makes it easier to track how much power a system is using when running local AI models, GPU-heavy processing, or compute-intensive applications.

With its 1600W capacity, 80 Plus Titanium efficiency, PCIe 5.1 support, compact 160 mm form factor, and AI-focused monitoring features, the GIGABYTE AORUS P1600W 80 Plus Titanium Modular PCIe 5.1 AI TOP is positioned as a premium power supply for enthusiasts who want maximum performance and long-term upgrade potential.

GIGABYTE has not yet announced official pricing for the AORUS P1600W.
