GIGABYTE Service Center in Delhi Accused of Damaging RTX 4060 Ti During Repair
A GIGABYTE customer in India has raised concerns after claiming that a service center in Delhi mishandled his graphics card during an RMA visit, allegedly damaging the HDMI port, misplacing screws, and returning the GPU with the original no-display problem still unresolved.
The complaint comes from a Reddit user, u/ColdBranch4491, who says he visited the GIGABYTE service center located in Nehru Place, New Delhi, a major hub for PC hardware, components, and repair services. According to the user, his GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 Ti had developed a no-display issue, prompting him to submit the card for inspection and repair.
The graphics card in question was identified by the user as a GIGABYTE RTX 4060 Ti Gaming OC 8GB, model GV-N406TGAMING OC-8GD. He also shared the RMA number as DE1-2680021 and stated that the card was submitted on 01-08-2026. On the official intake receipt, the service center reportedly noted the issue as “NO DISPLAY, PART RUSTED, TRY FOR SAME VGA CARD REPAIR AND RETURN.”
The customer emphasized that the receipt did not mention any broken HDMI port or missing screws at the time the GPU was handed over. However, when he returned to collect the card after service, he claims he noticed that the HDMI port was physically damaged and multiple screws were missing from the GPU assembly.
According to the user, when he questioned the service center staff, a technician allegedly admitted on video that the HDMI port was damaged during servicing and that the missing screws were misplaced while handling the card. The user says this was a major concern because the GPU had been submitted only for a no-display issue, with no recorded physical damage to the HDMI port on the intake document.
The situation reportedly became more frustrating when the service center manager allegedly downplayed the missing screws, saying that “a missing screw is common.” The customer also claims the manager attempted to categorize the problem as customer-induced damage, despite the intake receipt not listing the HDMI port as broken when the GPU was submitted.
After further discussion, the service center reportedly replaced the missing screws and repaired or replaced the damaged HDMI port. The customer says he later received photos by email showing that the external damage had been addressed. However, he claims the GPU still does not work and is now completely dead, continuing to show the same no-display problem.
The Reddit user says he has now escalated the matter with GIGABYTE and has submitted supporting evidence, including video recordings from the service center. His main argument is that the graphics card was accepted with a no-display complaint, but was returned with additional physical damage that was not documented during intake.
The case has gained attention among PC builders and hardware enthusiasts because it highlights a common concern in the repair and RMA process: customers often rely heavily on service center documentation to prove the condition of a device when it is submitted. If an issue such as a broken HDMI port or missing screws appears after servicing, the official intake receipt becomes important evidence.
For GPU owners, this incident is also a reminder to carefully document a graphics card before handing it over for service. Taking clear photos and videos of the card, ports, serial number, screws, cooler condition, and PCB area can help protect customers if a dispute arises later. As of now, the customer claims the issue remains unresolved, with the RTX 4060 Ti still failing to display output. The matter is reportedly under escalation with GIGABYTE, and the user is seeking accountability for the alleged damage and the unsuccessful repair.
