Gigabyte has just revealed the revamped Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE CAMM2 motherboard, introducing a host of enhancements to ramp up performance, including the exciting Ultra Turbo Mode.
The updated Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE now supports the cutting-edge CAMM2 DDR5 memory, which boasts superior signaling and lightning-fast frequencies. Thanks to the latest BIOS innovations, users can enjoy up to a 14% performance boost with the same memory kit.
Visually similar to its predecessor, the new motherboard maintains its distinctive 90-degree rotated socket design, placing memory modules at the top rather than the sides. While the previous model featured UDIMM slots, this upgraded version incorporates a single CAMM2 connector, aligning with the next-generation memory standards. It’s equipped with a unique onboard overclocking kit ideal for extreme enthusiasts. Notably, the CAMM2 slot is complemented by a toolless heatsink for enhanced thermal management compared to UDIMMs.
The integration of “Ultra Turbo” mode technology is a game-changer, delivering substantial performance gains for Intel Core Ultra 200S CPUs. This feature employs a sophisticated local AI model that scrutinizes CPU and DRAM data, offering users up to 38% more performance than factory settings.
Users will experience:
– CPU Boost: An impressive boost up to 38% over standard settings
– Memory Boost: Enhancements that elevate compute power to new heights
– Comprehensive Performance Boost: Across all applications
When compared to Intel’s 200S Boost feature, Gigabyte’s Ultra Turbo Mode provides an additional 8% to 10% performance boost with 8000 MT/s and 8800 MT/s memory, respectively.
The original Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE motherboard has already set a new world record for memory overclocking, achieving DDR5-12752. This milestone was reached by Gigabyte’s expert overclocker, HiCookie, utilizing the D5 Bionic Corsa technology with V-Color’s Manta Xfinity RGB CUDIMM modules.
