Gaming laptop upgrades are arriving fast, and GIGABYTE’s newest lineup is built to cover a wide range of budgets and performance needs. The company has unveiled three fresh models aimed at different types of players and creators: the high-end AORUS Master 16, the more mainstream AERO X16, and the larger-screen GAMING A18 PRO. Across the range, buyers can choose from some of the newest AMD processors and an Intel option, paired with powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series laptop GPUs.
AORUS Master 16 AM6J is the flagship of the group, designed for enthusiasts who want top-tier frame rates and sustained performance. Shown at CES, it can be configured with up to the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, a 16-core, 32-thread powerhouse positioned as one of the strongest mobile gaming chips available. GIGABYTE is offering four configurations in total: three built around the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D for maximum gaming performance, and a fourth option using the Ryzen 9 8940HX for those who still want high-end speed from the previous Zen 4 family.
Graphics options go all the way up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU, with additional premium choices including the RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti laptop GPUs. No matter which GPU you pick, the laptop keeps a strong core feature set, highlighted by a 16-inch OLED display running at 2560×1600 resolution and reaching up to a 240Hz refresh rate—ideal for fast-paced esports titles as well as smooth high-refresh AAA gaming.
To help keep performance stable under load, the AORUS Master 16 uses an upgraded WindForce Infinity EX cooling design, rated for up to 230W of thermal capacity. The goal is simple: keep clocks high and reduce the chance of performance drops during long sessions. Audio is handled by four 2W speakers, and Dolby Atmos support is included for a more immersive soundstage in games and media. Connectivity is also modern, with 1G LAN, WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4, plus a large 99Wh battery intended to deliver longer unplugged use than many typical gaming systems.
Next is the AERO X16, which targets users who want a thinner, more modest setup without falling too far behind in performance. This model uses AMD’s Ryzen AI 400 series processors, with configuration options that include the Ryzen AI 7 450, Ryzen AI 9 465, and Ryzen AI 9 HX 470. These CPUs are built to handle intensive everyday workloads and content tasks, and when matched with GPUs like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 laptop GPU, they should deliver smooth gameplay, including demanding games on higher settings depending on resolution and tuning.
Finally, the GAMING A18 PRO is built for people who want a bigger display and strong graphics power. It comes in two configurations, both using the 10-core Intel Core 7 240H processor, paired with either a GeForce RTX 5080 or RTX 5070 Ti laptop GPU. The large 18-inch IPS screen runs at a 1600p resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate, offering plenty of space for immersive gaming, streaming, and multitasking. Battery capacity is listed at 76Wh, the same figure used on the AERO X16 models.
GIGABYTE hasn’t shared pricing or exact release timing yet, but the company says more details on availability are coming soon. With options ranging from OLED high-refresh flagships to 18-inch big-screen builds, this new wave of GIGABYTE gaming laptops is clearly aimed at giving buyers more ways to match performance, features, and budget.
