Radical Fish Games is back with Alabaster Dawn, a new action RPG that builds on the tight combat, clever puzzles, and rich worldbuilding that made CrossCode a fan favorite. Players can get their first hands-on look very soon: a playable demo goes live on September 18 on Steam, accompanied by a fresh trailer.
Set in a world twisted by the shadow of Nyx, Alabaster Dawn follows Juno, the Outcast Chosen, who awakens to an impossible mission—restore a land warped into a wasteland and bring back the vanished gods. Expect fast, skill-based combat, intricate dungeons, and a story stuffed with secrets to uncover.
The demo is split into two parts designed to show both the opening hours and a taste of the game’s later challenges:
– Part one covers the true beginning of the adventure. Saves from this section will be compatible with the full release.
– Part two jumps ahead to highlight key moments, including a slice of a dungeon. Saves made here will be rolled back to the end of part one in the full game, ensuring you won’t miss any story content.
What the demo includes:
– 1.5 to 2.5 hours of playtime
– 2 melee weapons and 2 ranged weapons to experiment with
– 9 enemy types
– 4 boss encounters
Alabaster Dawn is in development for Windows PC with an early access launch planned for 2025. Console versions are slated to arrive after the game leaves early access.
If you loved CrossCode or you’re hunting for your next deep, systems-driven action RPG, mark your calendar for September 18 and dive into the demo to see what Radical Fish Games has been crafting.
