Garmin is rolling out a new stable update for the Bounce 2, arriving about a month after the smartwatch’s global debut. Software Version 4.28 replaces the original 4.19 firmware and focuses on stability, usability, and better LTE calling performance. The update also tweaks nighttime comfort with dimmer screen brightness in sleep mode and adds a small but helpful change by making the power-off page accessible while in school mode.
Garmin notes nine total changes, with targeted fixes for two crash scenarios and improvements that should make call connectivity and cellular feedback feel more reliable. Users should notice more responsive LTE signal bars, a smoother in-call experience, and corrected behavior on the analog watch face. Weather polling has also been tuned to address frequency issues.
You’ll need the Garmin Jr. app to download Software Version 4.28 and future updates.
