Garmin has swiftly released two updates for its Instinct series smartwatches, addressing key issues and adding exciting new features. The most notable fix comes with the stable System Software 9.25, which tackles a critical battery mode bug and resolves connectivity issues with BLE sensors.
Last month, Garmin introduced Beta Version 9.22 to correct a problem where smartwatches entered critical battery mode unexpectedly. This update was quickly followed by versions 9.23 and 9.25, targeting connectivity improvements and additional bug fixes. Now, version 9.25 is officially available as a stable update and is being rolled out to about half of the Instinct E and Instinct 3 users.
Simultaneously, Garmin has progressed to Beta Version 10.15, introducing even more enhancements. This version includes exciting additions like Interval Alerts in the Timers app, excluding the Instinct 3 Tactical model. Certain AMOLED and Solar models also received Rep Alerts for the Jump Rope activity. Currently, Beta Version 10.15 is accessible to users who opt in manually.
Noteworthy fixes in version 10.15 include a correction in the Power Modes menu, improved Area Calculation accuracy, and resolution of the DogTrack distance display issue. Additional updates involve the Nautical Distance data field, Solar data fields, Golf activity settings, and a flashlight delay fix for CIQ watch faces. Garmin also improved the Music data screen and corrected missing weather data display when using large fonts.
