GameSir Tarantula 8K PC and Tarantula Pro for Xbox Launch on Amazon at $69.99
GameSir’s latest Tarantula controllers are now easier to buy. After first being introduced in April, two models from the new lineup, the Tarantula 8K PC and Tarantula Pro for Xbox, have expanded beyond the company’s own store and are now available on Amazon as well.
Both controllers are priced at $69.99, giving PC and Xbox players two feature-packed wired options with different strengths. A third model, the Tarantula Ultra 8K PC, was also announced as part of the lineup, but it has not yet gone on sale.
The GameSir Tarantula 8K PC is built for players who want ultra-responsive wired performance on Windows PCs. Its headline feature is an 8,000Hz polling rate, designed to reduce input delay and deliver faster response times during competitive play.
The controller uses GameSir’s Gen 2 Mag-Res TMR sticks, arranged in a symmetrical layout similar to a PlayStation-style controller. It also includes dual-mode triggers, micro switch ABXY buttons, a tactile switch D-pad, and nine customizable buttons, including two rear buttons.
For players who like to fine-tune their setup, the Tarantula 8K PC also supports macros, adjustable turbo functions, a six-axis gyroscope, RGB lighting customization, and a 3.5mm audio jack. At launch, it is available in bright orange for $69.99 through GameSir and Amazon.
There is also a green special edition of the Tarantula 8K PC, though that version is currently available only for pre-order through GameSir’s store at the same price, with shipping expected to begin this month.
The Tarantula Pro for Xbox is aimed at console players, but it also works with Windows PCs and Steam. It supports Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X, making it a flexible wired controller for players who switch between console and PC gaming.
Like the PC-focused model, the Tarantula Pro for Xbox uses Mag-Res TMR sticks and micro-switch ABXY buttons. It also comes with a mechanical D-pad, dual trigger modes, two customizable back buttons, seven additional customizable controls, RGB lighting, an audio jack, and a six-axis gyroscope for PC use.
One key difference is the polling rate. While the Tarantula 8K PC reaches 8,000Hz, the Tarantula Pro for Xbox supports up to 1,000Hz, and that higher polling rate applies when used with a PC.
The Xbox model also skips the macro and turbo features found on the Tarantula 8K PC. However, it adds a stronger vibration setup with four motors: two in the grips and two in the triggers. That makes it the better choice for players who want more immersive haptic feedback, especially on Xbox.
The GameSir Tarantula Pro for Xbox is also priced at $69.99 and is available now in white through Amazon and GameSir’s official store.
