Galaxy Z Flip FE Pricing Rumors Challenge Samsung’s Foldable Strategy Ahead of Launch

Samsung is gearing up to launch the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Flip FE, and fans are buzzing with curiosity about its pricing and features. Recent leaks suggest that this new clamshell model will be available in only two colors and might retail for just 10% less than the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip7, despite several hardware changes.

Unlike the substantial pricing gap seen between Motorola’s two clamshell models, Samsung seems to be taking a different approach. According to industry insider Roland Quandt, the Galaxy Z Flip FE could be priced at around €100 less than the Galaxy Z Flip7. Interestingly, the Flip7 might also debut at a lower price point than its predecessor.

This pricing strategy raises questions about Samsung’s plan, especially as Motorola offers a significant hardware difference between the Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra models, paired with a prominent price distinction. If these rumors prove accurate, Samsung may opt to introduce frequent discounts for the Galaxy Z Flip FE, similar to its approach with the Galaxy S24 FE.

As we anticipate its release on July 9, the Galaxy Z Flip FE is expected to come equipped with an Exynos 2400 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, and a vibrant 120 Hz foldable display. It will also feature the 12 MP cameras from the Galaxy Z Flip5.

In the U.S., this new model might hit the shelves for approximately $899 before any launch discounts are applied. Whether Samsung will adjust this pricing strategy for other markets remains to be seen. What is clear, however, is that the tech giant is striving to capture the interest of clamshell enthusiasts with a blend of new features and competitive pricing.
