Galaxy S26 Ultra Color Leak Teases Déjà Vu Palette, Stoking Talk of Samsung Playing It Safe

Cosmic Orange might be headed to Samsung’s next ultra-flagship—if a new leak is to be believed. A set of images making the rounds on Reddit shows the Galaxy S26 Ultra in three colors, with an eye-popping orange finish that immediately invites comparison to Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max in Cosmic Orange. The look is striking, saturated, and unlike most of Samsung’s more understated hues—exactly the kind of color that sparks debate.

As with most early smartphone leaks, caution is warranted. The images’ authenticity hasn’t been verified, and even some commenters have dismissed the orange variant as “a joke.” Adding to the skepticism, a well-known leaker suggested the pictures are very likely AI-generated. That assessment isn’t far-fetched—realistic, high-gloss phone renders are now easy to produce with generative tools, and at least one widely shared header image tied to this chatter was confirmed to be AI-made. In other words, these could be polished concept pieces rather than actual prototypes.

That said, an orange option wouldn’t come out of nowhere for Samsung. The company has dabbled with orange-like finishes before, including an online-exclusive shade in the Galaxy S24 lineup. It wasn’t as intense or glossy as the iPhone’s Cosmic Orange, but it showed that Samsung is open to bolder colorways—especially as limited or channel-specific options.

If the Galaxy S26 Ultra does ship with a vibrant orange, it would underscore a broader trend: premium smartphones increasingly use standout colors to differentiate and entice upgrades. Until there’s an official announcement, though, treat this as a rumor rather than a roadmap.

What do you think—would a true Cosmic Orange-style Galaxy S26 Ultra be an instant buy or too loud for daily carry?
