Samsung’s next Fan Edition phone may have just surfaced early, giving us the first real peek at what to expect from the Galaxy S26 FE. Following the release of the core Galaxy S26 lineup earlier this year, the company looks set to expand the series with a more affordable model designed to deliver many flagship-style features at a lower price.
A new Geekbench listing widely believed to be the Galaxy S26 FE shows a device with the model number SM-S741U. The listing indicates 8GB of RAM and Android 17, suggesting the phone is already deep in testing well ahead of an official launch.
In terms of benchmark performance, the device scores 2,426 in single-core and 8,004 in multi-core results. Those figures sit below what you’d expect from the higher-end Galaxy S26 models, and the apparent reason is the chipset choice. The benchmark details point to Samsung’s Exynos 2500 rather than the newer Exynos 2600 used in some Galaxy S26 variants.
The listing also reveals a deca-core CPU setup, featuring one prime core clocked at 3.30GHz, two cores at 2.75GHz, five cores at 2.36GHz, and two efficiency-focused cores running at 1.80GHz. On the graphics side, it’s paired with the Xclipse 950 GPU.
Even if the early numbers look a step behind the top Galaxy S26 phones, this may still be a meaningful upgrade for Fan Edition buyers. Last year’s Galaxy S25 FE used the Exynos 2400, so moving to an Exynos 2500 should bring a noticeable bump in overall speed and efficiency. At the same time, it continues Samsung’s familiar Fan Edition strategy: offering a more budget-friendly S-series experience by using last-generation flagship silicon rather than the absolute newest chip.
With the Galaxy S26 FE now appearing in benchmark databases, more leaks and details are likely to follow soon—especially around its display, cameras, battery, and pricing. For now, the early listing paints a clear picture: the Galaxy S26 FE is on the way, it’s running Android 17, and it’s shaping up to be another performance-focused mid-to-upper tier option for people who want the Galaxy S experience for less.
