Some time ago, Qualcomm hinted that the Galaxy S24 lineup would lean on Snapdragon processors rather than exclusively using Samsung’s own Exynos chips. During the company’s Q4 2023 earnings call, the Qualcomm CEO announced their strong presence in the Galaxy S24 shipments, holding the majority share, a significant increase from their previous global share.
More recently, the extended agreement was reaffirmed by Qualcomm’s top executive during the Q1 2024 earnings call. This year is also expected to see the release of the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6, possibly powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy.
The CEO highlighted Qualcomm’s growing mobile roadmap, pointing out their upcoming custom CPU for mobile platforms and an advanced NPU for AI applications, indicating that Qualcomm is set to take the lead in mobile CPU performance.
