Framework is pushing its modular laptop concept further with the new Framework Laptop 13 Pro, a model built for people who want strong performance, long battery life, and the freedom to upgrade and repair their machine for years instead of replacing it.
The biggest headline is battery life. Framework says the Laptop 13 Pro packs a 74.5 Wh battery that can deliver up to 20 hours of runtime, making it the longest-lasting Framework laptop so far. For commuters, students, remote workers, and frequent travelers, that kind of longevity can mean leaving the charger at home and still getting through a full day of work, streaming, or browsing.
Just as important, the Framework Laptop 13 Pro keeps the brand’s signature modular design. Like earlier versions of the Framework Laptop 13, it’s built so you can upgrade key parts after purchase, including the RAM and SSD. Beyond that, Framework’s approach also makes it possible to replace many other components in only a few minutes, which is a major win for repairability and long-term ownership.
Port flexibility remains a core part of the experience. The laptop includes four expansion ports that are designed as swappable modules. That means you can change your port selection when your needs change, and you can even replace the port modules without using tools. It’s a practical idea for anyone tired of being stuck with the wrong mix of USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, or other connections over the life of a laptop.
In terms of pricing and availability, the Framework Laptop 13 Pro is available to pre-order now through Framework’s online store, with shipments expected to begin in June.
The entry option is the DIY Edition for $1,251. It comes with an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 and four port modules, but you’ll need to supply your own RAM and SSD, and complete the assembly yourself.
If you’d rather have a ready-to-go system, there’s a fully assembled configuration with an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. That model is priced at $2,099 with Linux, or $2,299 with Windows 11.
At the top end, Framework offers a powerhouse configuration built around the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, paired with 64GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD, priced at $3,099.
With a claimed 20-hour battery life, modern Intel and AMD options, and a design focused on upgrades, repairs, and customizable ports, the Framework Laptop 13 Pro is clearly aimed at buyers who want a premium 13-inch laptop that can adapt over time—rather than becoming obsolete after a couple of years.
