Follow Your Favorite Venues on Spotify and Never Miss an Upcoming Show

Spotify is rolling out a new way to keep up with live music: you can now follow your favorite venues and get real-time updates on the concerts happening there. When you follow a venue, it’s saved in your library, making it easy to browse event calendars, check details on scheduled shows, and see announcements as they happen. You can also filter upcoming concerts by genre, so you’ll quickly find gigs that match your taste.

To make discovery even more timely, Spotify’s live event feed is moving from a weekly refresh to daily updates. That means fewer missed announcements and more chances to snag tickets early. As with previous event listings on the platform, you can tap on a show and purchase tickets through the listed partner. While Spotify briefly experimented with selling tickets directly in 2022, it hasn’t expanded that effort. Instead, it currently works with established ticketing platforms such as Live Nation and Ticketmaster, including ticket links from artist pages.

This update builds on the company’s broader push into live event discovery. Earlier this year, it launched “Concerts Near You,” a weekly playlist of 30 songs from artists playing in your area. Each track comes with details about the artist’s next show, making it easier to turn a discovery into a night out.

Competition among music platforms to surface concerts more effectively is heating up, too. In February, SoundCloud integrated with Ticketmaster and Live Nation so artists can list upcoming shows directly on their pages, reflecting a wider industry trend toward blending streaming with real-world events.

Why it matters for listeners:
– Never miss a show at your go-to venues with follow and genre filters
– Get fresher information thanks to daily live event feed updates
– Jump from discovery to purchase with direct ticketing partner links

For fans who love catching artists on tour—or supporting local stages—these tools make it simpler to plan your next concert. Open the app, follow the venues you care about, and check the refreshed event feed to see what’s playing next.
