Exciting news for anime fans as Studio TRIGGER has unveiled the much-anticipated first teaser trailer for the new season of “Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt.” This beloved series is making a triumphant return, continuing the adventures of its iconic characters.
In the teaser, viewers are reintroduced to Panty and Stocking, alongside the ever-charismatic Garterbelt and other familiar faces. The original voice cast returns, with Arisa Ogasawara as Panty, Mariya Ise as Stocking, and Koji Ishii reprising his role as Garterbelt. Fresh voices join the ensemble as Akeno Watanabe takes on the role of Knee Socks and Yuko Natsuyoshi voices Zipper.
Adding to the excitement, Taku Takahashi, celebrated for his work with the Japanese R&B/hip-hop group M-Flo, is back to score the series’ soundtrack, promising music as electrifying as the animation itself.
Having taken over from the now-defunct Gainax, Studio TRIGGER breathes new life into the series, with key players from the original project’s team bringing their expertise to the table. Hiroyuki Imaishi resumes his directorial role, while Hiromi Wakabayashi and Akira Furukawa step in as assistant directors, ensuring the series retains its unique flair. Atsushi Nishigori returns as character designer, supported by talents like Masaru Sakamoto, Sushio, and Shigeto Koyama.
