Polden Publishing and developer Button Mash have officially launched Final Sentence, a new battle royale typing game that turns fast, accurate typing into a fight for survival. The game is out now on Windows PC via Steam, and it’s celebrating release with a 10% launch discount.
Final Sentence drops you into a grim scenario alongside other players: you wake up in a dark metal hangar, seated at a typewriter, with a revolver pressed to your head. It isn’t just for atmosphere—every typo and mistake can cost you. The pressure is the point, blending competitive typing with the tension of survival thrillers where only one person walks away.
The core idea is simple and ruthless: type as quickly and precisely as you can, because the game treats errors like a trigger. That high-stakes hook is what makes Final Sentence stand out from typical battle royale games. Instead of aiming weapons or collecting gear, you’re battling your own nerves and muscle memory while trying to outlast everyone else in the lobby.
There are multiple ways to play depending on how intense you want the experience to be. Classic Battle Royale supports matches with up to 40 players, pushing you to stay flawless as the competition thins. Knockdown mode shifts focus to raw typewriting speed, while Duel mode narrows everything down to a head-to-head showdown against a single opponent. For players who want to sharpen their skills before jumping into live matches, training options include games against various AI opponents.
Final Sentence also leans into customization for groups and communities. Private lobbies can be tailored for friends with adjustable modes and text types, configurable error limits, and even an optional Russian Roulette-style setting for those who want maximum risk and tension.
More competitive features are on the way, too. Advanced stats and global ranks are planned for a future update, with detailed tracking for accuracy, typing speed, and overall progress—giving players more reasons to improve, compare results, and chase leaderboard positions over time.
With its unique “type-or-die” premise, multiple modes, and upcoming progression tools, Final Sentence aims to become a fresh option for anyone looking for a multiplayer PC game that rewards precision, composure, and speed under pressure.
